Altrimenti il pezzo perde ragione d&#8217;essere\u00e7 perch\u00e9 parlare di novit\u00e0 che non saranno importanti. Ecco quindic he si cede alla tentazione di manipolare le ricerche diu mercato. Alzi la mano chi non l&#8217;ha mai fatto. Oggi sul Riformista si parla dell&#8217;Ip Tv (in rapporto ai casini di Telecom) e si dice che sar\u00e0 il possibile business del futuro. IL pezzo comincia cos\u00ec (e nell&#8217;attacco c&#8217;\u00e8 la notizia): &#8220;La societ\u00e0 di ricerca Gartner prevede un forte sviluppo dell&#8217;Iptv&#8221; via con le cifre. HO ricevuto anche io quel comunicato stampa. Venti giorni fa (alla faccia del quotidiano&#8230;ma si sa che i pezzi tecnologici possono slittare anche di mesi, su i quotidiani italiani). La tesi della ricerca era proprio l&#8217;opposto, per\u00f2: Gartner avvisava che l&#8217;IP Tv sarebbe rimasta un business di nicchia. <\/p>\n<p>Qui incollo parte del comunicato<\/p>\n<p>STAMFORD, Conn., September 6, 2006 \u2014 The number of households around the world subscribing to Internet Protocol television (IPTV) services offered by telecom carriers will reach 48.8 million in 2010 according to Gartner, Inc. Buoyed by new service launches, IPTV subscribers will more than double in 2007 from an expected 6.4 million in 2006 to 13.3 million (see Table 1).<\/p>\n<p>Despite the eight-fold increase in users between 2006 and 2010, Gartner says that carriers will struggle to turn IPTV into a mainstream Pay TV distribution platform on par with established cable or satellite services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe difficulty in carving out a distinctive proposition that will clearly differentiate early IPTV services from other established TV options will lead many service providers around the world to drive adoption by competing on price in the next few years,\u201d said Elroy Jopling, research director for Gartner\u2019s Consumer Communication Services group. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a result, the global picture for IPTV revenue is much less impressive than for subscriber numbers,\u201d Mr. Jopling said. \u201cGlobal IPTV revenue during the period will grow from $872 million in 2006 to a still relatively modest $13.2 billion by 2010.
